We discover, curate, distribute, and champion emerging independent artists and we built a whole community around it.

Meet the Founders
Ashley — Co-Founder & CFO
Ashley is based in San Diego, where she lives with her husband and her beloved furry companion, Alfredo. Her love for music started early, shaped by her parents’ influence and a deep connection to pop, soul, R&B, and rock ’n’ roll — genres that still inspire her today.
Before co-founding GRRRL Music, Ashley built a successful career in accounting after graduating from Northern Arizona University. But everything shifted when she joined forces with her best friend Kelsey to turn their shared passion into something bigger.
Today, Ashley brings both structure and soul to GRRRL Music combining her analytical mindset with a deep emotional connection to music. She’s especially drawn to powerful female voices, emotional pop, indie rock, and beautifully layered soundscapes.
Meet the Founders
Kelsey — Co-Founder & CEO
Kelsey splits her time between San Diego and Spokane, building GRRRL Music alongside her partner, two pitbull pups, and a very opinionated ginger cat.
Her musical journey started with iconic influences like The Beach Boys and Joni Mitchell, before expanding into musical theatre during her time at Idyllwild Arts Academy. She later studied Radio Broadcasting at Point Park University, where she discovered her love for talking about music, storytelling, and connecting with audiences.
Kelsey went on to become Music Director of her college radio station, gaining hands-on experience in programming, marketing, and artist promotion.
Today, she leads the creative direction of GRRRL Music — curating playlists, building relationships with artists, and shaping a platform that celebrates discovery, diversity, and community.
Her taste spans indie rock, disco-inspired sounds, alt-pop, and eclectic, high-energy tracks that bring people together.
