Giving The Two Lips Their Flowers

The room was hot, illuminated pink, and filled with adoring fans dressed in their best lace and polka dots. The Two Lips made their Florida debut in Miami on their “Kiss & Tell” tour, on the Disco stage at ZeyZey, a small concert venue in Little Haiti.
The Two Lips are a dream pop duo from Los Angeles, California, who met online, became friends through their shared music taste, and found songwriting more seamless together. In 2023, The Two Lips bloomed and have been serving us whimsical hits ever since.
I picked up my friend, and we set off to ZeyZey, 10 minutes before the show started. Once we entered, it felt like sardines in a tin. It was hot; we couldn’t see the mic stands, and we felt like our spontaneity might’ve gotten the best of us, but we were excited nonetheless.
The Two Lips walked on stage right at 9 PM, and the room exploded with cheers; they started singing, and I joined along with the 50+ people in the small disco room. I managed to see them in the mirror next to me and chat with the girl beside me about how the fan I brought was saving both our lives. From the start, it was evident they deserved a larger room for their presence.
The Two Lips, Jewlz and Andrea, were just as endearing onstage as they are in their music. They interacted with the crowd, complimented outfits, and danced around each other in circles. To me, their uplifting voices and crowd work are genuine and make me feel like they are truly friends who enjoy sharing their stories.
Their setlist was comprised of popular songs, an unreleased song, “Fix You”, and two covers of “No One Noticed” by The Marías & “Black Sheep” by Metric.

In Every Lifetime
They sang for about an hour, which ended with the crowd cheering their name, jumping up & down, and demanding an encore. It’s safe to say The Two Lips made an impression and will return to Miami one day.
Overall, I would rate this concert a 7/10. The performance could have been moved to the venue's outdoor stage, but the performance and artists are undeniably charming & unique and will only blossom.
