Meet aron!: The “Cozy Boy” Bringing Jazz to a New Generation

If you’ve been scrolling Instagram lately and stumbled across a jazzy tune that made you smile—and maybe feel a little soft inside—there’s a good chance it was aron!. His debut EP, cozy you (and other nice songs), is a whimsical yet emotionally grounded love letter to mid-century sounds, soft jazz, and personal storytelling. But don’t let the mellow vibes fool you. Behind the warm tones and soothing sound is an artist with serious vision, roots in jazz tradition, and a mission to reshape how young listeners connect with the genre. 

For the 22-year old, his musical journey started early on. After meeting his jazz teacher at age 10, he knew instantly that music was what he wanted to do. From studying classical composition to forming indie band, Sunny Side Up!, aron! was determined to find success within the music world. 

After growing up on rock and jazz, his music blends sounds of old and new: the silky charm of 1930s and ’40s jazz wrapped in a modern sensibility that invites comparisons to Laufey, Michael Bublé, and Jamie Cullum. But he’s not interested in being boxed in. 

“There’s an argument that what I do isn’t actually jazz,” he says. “There’s an argument that what I do is mid-century pop…You can feel it. There’s a difference to that.” 

More than any label, aron! is interested in creating music that balances vulnerability, nostalgia, and a quiet sense of humor. His new single, “table for two”, is a perfect example—playfully capturing the anxiety of waiting on a date who may never show. 

“Cozy goes with vulnerability,” he says. “You can’t really be cozy and be afraid of being vulnerable at the same time.” 

Social media has been a game-changer for aron! Through viral Instagram reels and carefully crafted visual storytelling, he’s building a “cozy pop” world that proves there’s space for jazz-inspired music on modern platforms.

But he’s not married to the vibe forever. “Cozy is just the sound I’m into right now. Who knows how long I’ll be the cozy boy?” 

At his core, aron! keeps things simple: “All I ever wanted was to play music every day and make music with friends.” And in an industry full of noise and algorithms, that sincerity shines through. 

With every jazz chord, cheeky lyric, and carefully crafted moment, aron! is carving out a space that’s entirely his own—and inviting us all to get a little cozy along the way.
