The Midwest Princess Project was launched in October 2025 by Chappell Roan to support transgender and LGBTQ+ youth through resources, care, connection, and support. In support of the project, Chappell Roan put on the Super Graphic Spectacular, which was a two night fundraiser on October 21 and 22, 2026, at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles. The event raised over $2 million, which went to transgender and LGBTQ+ organizations. The show featured live entertainment, drag, and music acts from artists including Lola Young, Tinashe, Amanda Lepore, Blaine Petrovia, Kyra Jeté, Caroline Polachek, MUNA, Alisa Mae, Fantasia Royale Gaga, Sweaty Eddie, and a headlining performance each night from Chappell Roan herself.

Before each show, a block party was hosted outside the venue featuring drag performers and DJs. Beyond the music, the fundraiser event featured volunteer opportunities and community engagement with local LGBTQ+ organizations. The block party also featured local artists and vendors, a costume contest, themed photo ops, food trucks, merch, and ticket giveaways.

I got to attend the second night of this spectacular event. Comedian and actor Caleb Hearon hosted the night and was a delight to see on stage. Aerialist Alisa Mae opened the night with an incredible performance. Caroline Polachek was next and had a short but mighty set. During her song “Look at Me Now,” she surprised the crowd when Chappell Roan came out to sing it with her. Sweaty Eddie followed with a very entertaining performance, and Fantasia Royale Gaga put on an amazing performance after that. MUNA’s set was also amazing. I have been wanting to see them for a while, so this was a big win for me. They even brought out Caleb Hearon to join them in singing “Silk Chiffon.”

The last act of the night was, of course, Chappell Roan. The set design was beautiful, and I loved all of her outfit variations. She started out her set with “Super Graphic Ultra Modern Girl,” which was definitely fitting given the name of the event. The crowd was amazing, and the energy in the room was infectious. Her set even included a couple of special guests. PinkPantheress came out to sing “Tonight,” and Lola Young joined Chappell to sing “Picture You.” Chappell also performed “Expectations” by Olivia Rodrigo, which she was featured on. To close out the night, she sang “Pink Pony Club.”

This was such a fun and fulfilling night, bringing together music, entertainment, and social action.
