Portola Festival returned to San Francisco for its fifth year. This festival really had something for every music lover. From DJs to pop music to everywhere in between, I got to check out some amazing sets. The festival drew in over 40,000 people each day to San Francisco’s Pier 80.

This was my first time attending Portola, and I found it to feel unique and special. It didn’t just feel like another music festival; it felt more like I was stepping into another world filled with just music. Across the four stages and the Despacio tent, there was music all day, and I was here for it.

I got a bit of a later start on Saturday but still got to enjoy some amazing sets.

My favorite part of the day was seeing Fcukers and Tove Lo back to back on the main stage. They both had such strong performances, and they really kicked my day one off on a high note.

I was especially excited for day two. There were so many people I was so glad to see, but the standout performances to me were Adéla and Zara Larsson. Adéla is a star and brought amazing vocals and choreography to the Crane Stage. Zara Larsson’s set was so energetic and entertaining. I loved the colors and set as well.

I got to photograph the weekend and wanted to share what the performances looked like through my lens.
